If you think you might have a problem but you're still unsure, take a moment and answer the following questions honestly:

 

  • Does crystal meth make you feel depressed?

  • Have you tried to cut down or quit using, but haven’t been able to?

  • Do you experience sudden cravings to use crystal meth?

  • Do you use crystal meth even when you're alone?

  • Are you using larger amounts or more frequently than you used to?

  • Have you ever lied about how much or how often you use?

  • Do you believe people are watching you, listening to you, or following you?

  • Do you use in the morning to start your day?

  • Have you ever thought about going to therapy or seeing someone to help you control or stop your use?

  • When you stop using, do you have suicidal thoughts?

  • Have you ever seen a doctor, been hospitalized, or gone to the emergency room because of crystal meth?

  • Have you ever forgotten to take prescribed medication because of your crystal meth use?

  • Are you unable to have sex without using crystal meth?

  • When you have sex on crystal meth, do you take risks you wouldn’t take if you were sober?

  • Do you believe crystal meth gives you a satisfying sex life?

  • Do you spend more money than you’d like on crystal meth?

  • Do you need crystal meth to get to work?

  • Is your job at risk because of your use?

  • Have you ever disappeared for days without letting anyone know?

  • Have you ever been unable to fulfill family or social responsibilities because of crystal meth?

  • Have you lost friends because of your use?

If you answered yes to several of these questions, you might be struggling with addiction.
